Affiliate & Creator (UGC) Program Terms

Welcome to the Lockology Affiliate & Creator Program.
We’re excited to partner with creators, locticians, educators, influencers, salons, bloggers, and members of the loc community who genuinely enjoy our products and want to share them with others.
These Affiliate & Creator (UGC) Program Terms (“Terms”) govern your participation in any affiliate, ambassador, influencer, creator, or user-generated content (“UGC”) program offered by Lockology (“Lockology,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By applying to, participating in, or continuing to participate in our program, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
To participate, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide accurate application information.
- Comply with all applicable laws.
- Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
Participation is by invitation or approval only.
Lockology reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or terminate any application or participant at its sole discretion.
2. Program Benefits
Approved affiliates or creators may receive one or more of the following:
- Affiliate commission
- Discount codes
- Referral links
- Complimentary products
- Early product releases
- Promotional materials
- Exclusive campaigns
- Creator opportunities
Benefits may change at any time.
Participation does not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, or joint venture relationship.
3. Affiliate Commissions
Commissions are earned only on qualifying purchases completed through your approved affiliate link or discount code.
Commissions are not earned on:
- Cancelled orders
- Refunded orders
- Fraudulent purchases
- Chargebacks
- Returned merchandise
- Self-purchases (unless specifically approved)
- Orders that violate these Terms
Lockology may change commission rates, payment schedules, payout minimums, promotional periods, or commission structures at any time.
4. FTC & Advertising Compliance
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable advertising and endorsement laws.
Whenever you receive:
- Commission
- Free products
- Discounts
- Compensation
- Gifts
- Sponsorships
you must clearly disclose your relationship with Lockology in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides.
Examples include:
- #ad
- #affiliate
- #sponsored
- #gifted
- “I earn a commission from qualifying purchases.”
Disclosures must be clear, conspicuous, and placed where consumers will easily see them.
5. Affiliate & Creator Responsibilities
As a participant, you are solely responsible for everything you create, publish, distribute, or promote regarding Lockology.
This includes:
- Instagram posts
- TikTok videos
- Facebook posts
- YouTube videos
- Pinterest Pins
- Blogs
- Podcasts
- Emails
- Livestreams
- Product reviews
- Testimonials
- Tutorials
- Before-and-after photos
- Advertising campaigns
- Any other content
Nothing you publish represents the official views of Lockology unless we have specifically approved it in writing.
You may not present yourself as:
- An employee
- An owner
- A spokesperson
- A medical professional representing Lockology
- A legal representative of Lockology
unless expressly authorized.
6. Approved Product Claims
Our products are cosmetic products.
You may only make truthful, accurate statements about our products.
You may not claim that any Lockology product:
- Diagnoses disease
- Treats disease
- Prevents disease
- Cures disease
- Stops hair loss
- Regrows hair
- Treats alopecia
- Heals scalp conditions
- Is FDA approved
- Produces guaranteed results
unless Lockology has specifically approved such statements in writing.
You may not exaggerate product performance or promise specific cosmetic results.
Unauthorized claims are solely your responsibility.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Publish false or misleading information.
- Violate FTC regulations.
- Violate copyright laws.
- Violate trademark laws.
- Use copyrighted music without permission.
- Use stolen photographs or videos.
- Spam consumers.
- Purchase through your own affiliate links without approval.
- Bid on Lockology trademarks in paid advertising.
- Use deceptive marketing tactics.
- Engage in harassment or hate speech.
- Promote illegal activity.
- Use offensive, discriminatory, or explicit content alongside the Lockology brand.
- Damage or attempt to damage the reputation of Lockology.
8. User-Generated Content (UGC)
If you submit or tag Lockology in:
- Photos
- Videos
- Reviews
- Testimonials
- Social media posts
- Educational content
- Before-and-after images
you retain ownership of your original content.
However, by voluntarily submitting content or granting us permission to use it, you grant Lockology a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to:
- Repost
- Display
- Publish
- Copy
- Edit
- Crop
- Resize
- Translate
- Modify
- Distribute
- Advertise
- Promote
your content in connection with our business.
This includes use on:
- Our website
- Product pages
- Social media
- Advertisements
- Emails
- Printed marketing
- Trade shows
- Retail displays
No additional compensation is required unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Intellectual Property
All Lockology trademarks, logos, product names, photographs, graphics, labels, packaging, artwork, educational materials, blog content, videos, and marketing assets remain the exclusive property of Lockology.
Participation in this program does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
You may only use Lockology branding while actively participating in the program and only in accordance with these Terms.
10. Creator Representations
You represent and warrant that:
- You own the content you publish or have permission to use it.
- Your content does not infringe another person’s rights.
- Any individuals appearing in your content have consented to its use.
- Your content is truthful.
- Your content complies with all applicable laws.
- Your content does not violate any platform policies.
You are solely responsible for obtaining licenses for:
- Music
- Fonts
- Images
- Videos
- Graphics
- Stock media
- Third-party trademarks
Lockology assumes no responsibility for intellectual property violations resulting from your content.
11. Reputation Protection
Lockology values its reputation and brand integrity.
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your participation if, in our reasonable judgment, your actions or content:
- Damage or are likely to damage the Lockology brand.
- Harm customer trust.
- Create negative publicity.
- Expose Lockology to legal or regulatory liability.
- Contain misleading information.
- Conflict with our brand values.
- Violate these Terms.
12. Removal of Content
Lockology may request that you edit or remove content relating to our products if the content:
- Contains inaccurate information.
- Includes unauthorized product claims.
- Violates FTC guidelines.
- Infringes another person’s rights.
- Damages our reputation.
- Violates these Terms.
- Violates applicable law.
You agree to comply with such requests promptly and no later than five (5) business days after receiving written notice unless a shorter timeframe is necessary to address legal, regulatory, or reputational concerns.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lockology, its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, investigations, regulatory actions, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, losses, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or relating to:
- Your participation in this program.
- Any content you create or publish.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any law or regulation.
- Your failure to comply with FTC endorsement requirements.
- False, misleading, deceptive, or unauthorized claims about Lockology or its products.
- Copyright infringement.
- Trademark infringement.
- Privacy or publicity rights violations.
- Defamation or libel.
- Your negligence, fraud, intentional misconduct, or unlawful acts.
- Any act or omission that causes financial loss, reputational harm, legal liability, or regulatory action against Lockology.
These obligations survive termination of your participation in the program.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lockology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Affiliate or Creator Program.
Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the unpaid commissions, if any, properly owed to you.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
15. Suspension and Termination
Lockology may suspend or terminate your participation immediately, with or without notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms.
- Damage our reputation.
- Commit fraud.
- Misrepresent our products.
- Engage in deceptive advertising.
- Fail to make required FTC disclosures.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Engage in illegal or unethical conduct.
Upon termination:
- Affiliate links and discount codes may be disabled.
- Future commissions will cease.
- Pending commissions related to violations may be forfeited.
- You must immediately stop representing yourself as affiliated with Lockology.
- You must stop using Lockology trademarks, logos, and marketing materials.
Lockology may continue using UGC already licensed under these Terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
Lockology may update these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms become effective upon posting to our website.
Your continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
